This Cookie Policy explains how Nomisma LLC ("Nomisma", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on smartsteps.ai, in the Smartsteps web application at smartsteps.ai/app (together, the "Service") and on the staff administration site at admin.smartsteps.ai. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. Summary
Smartsteps uses only what is strictly necessary to keep you signed in, plus two local-storage entries that remember your display preferences. We do not use analytics, advertising, social-media or other third-party cookies on smartsteps.ai, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not use pixels or web beacons. Because everything we set is strictly necessary or a preference you choose, none of it is used to track you.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a website save small pieces of information on your device. Both can be read back by the website that set them.

"httpOnly" means the cookie cannot be read by scripts running in the page. "Secure" means it is only sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. "SameSite" limits when the browser sends the cookie with requests that start on other websites.

These entries are stored only in your browser. They contain no personal data and are not sent to our servers.
4. What We Do Not Use
- Analytics cookies or scripts.
- Advertising, retargeting or marketing cookies or pixels.
- Social-media widgets or trackers.
- Third-party cookies of any kind on smartsteps.ai.
- Fonts or other assets loaded from third parties at run time. Our fonts are bundled with the Service when it is built and served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send requests to Google or any other font provider.
5. Payment Pages
When you pay or manage a subscription, you are taken to checkout and billing-portal pages hosted by Stripe, Inc. on Stripe's own domain. Stripe may set its own cookies on those pages, for example for fraud prevention. Those cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie policies, not this one.
6. Cookies Recorded During Website Scans
When the Service scans a Customer Website, our crawler, SmartstepsBot, records the cookies that website sets in the crawler's own browser. Those cookies are set by the Customer Website, not by Smartsteps, and are never placed on your device. They are recorded as evidence for the Customer's Reports, as described in the Terms of Service.
7. Your Choices
7.1 Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you block or delete cyber_session, you will be signed out and will not be able to use the application until you allow it again. If you clear local storage, your theme and accent choices return to their defaults.
7.2 Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We do not sell or share personal data and do not use cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing for a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal to opt you out of on smartsteps.ai. Our cookies behave the same way whether or not your browser sends these signals.
8. Changes
If we add or change a cookie or storage entry, we will update this page before or when the change takes effect. If we ever propose to use cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
