Terms of Service
Version v1 · Effective 26 October 2026 · Last updated 26 October 2026
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Smartsteps, a compliance-monitoring service provided by Nomisma LLC to businesses. Please read Section 8 (No Legal Advice and No Guarantee of Compliance) carefully: Smartsteps is a software tool, not a law firm, and its Reports are not legal advice.
1. Agreement and Parties
1.1 These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between Nomisma LLC, a limited liability company formed under the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States ("Nomisma", "we", "us"), and the company or other organisation that registers for or uses the Service (the "Customer"). Smartsteps is a product and trademark of Nomisma LLC.
1.2 By creating an account, clicking to accept these Terms, completing a purchase, or accessing or using the Service, the Customer agrees to these Terms. An individual who accepts on behalf of an organisation represents and warrants that they are authorised to bind that organisation, and "Customer" then means that organisation. Anyone who does not agree to these Terms must not access or use the Service.
1.3 The Service is offered only to businesses and other organisations, for business purposes. It is not offered to consumers. Each User confirms that they are using the Service on behalf of a business or organisation and not for personal, family or household purposes.
1.4 Where the Service is available. Nomisma currently offers the Service only to businesses established outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil and the Canadian province of Quebec. A business established in one of those places may not create an account until Nomisma announces that the Service is available there. This restriction concerns who may subscribe to the Service. It does not limit which markets a Customer may select for analysis: a Customer may use the Service to assess its obligations in any market the Service covers. Each User confirms that the information about the Customer's place of establishment given at sign-up is accurate.
1.5 The following documents form part of these Terms and are incorporated by reference: the Acceptable Use Policy, the Billing, Credits and Refund Policy, the Legal Disclaimer and, where it applies under Section 10, the Data Processing Addendum. The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, AI Transparency statement, Sub-processors page and Security Overview and Vulnerability Disclosure describe how the Service operates. Together these are the "Agreement".
1.6 Nomisma's contact details are: Nomisma LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States; telephone +1 510-565-0510; email info@nomisma.ai.
2. Definitions
In the Agreement:
- Smartsteps or the Service means the Smartsteps hosted software made available at smartsteps.ai, including the web application at smartsteps.ai/app, its crawling, analysis, monitoring and reporting functions, and related documentation and support.
- Customer has the meaning given in Section 1.1.
- User means an individual whom the Customer permits to access the Service under the Customer's account, including the individual who registers the account.
- Workspace means the space within the Service created for a Customer's company, in which its business profile, markets, websites, documents, evidence and Reports are held.
- Customer Website means a website, web page or other online property whose address the Customer submits to the Service for crawling or analysis.
- Customer Content means all information, documents and other material that the Customer or its Users submit to the Service, or that the Service collects from a Customer Website on the Customer's instruction, including the business profile, selected markets, website addresses, uploaded or linked policy documents, crawl evidence (such as page records, cookie and request records, form-structure records, screenshots and accessibility check results) and support ticket content.
- Reports means the outputs the Service generates for a Customer, including per-jurisdiction standing scores, findings, citations, clause labels, summaries, suggested fixes, monthly standing updates and any printable or downloadable report.
- AI Features means the parts of the Service that use large language models to evaluate obligations, review results, label clauses and write summaries, as described in the AI Transparency statement.
- Credits means the AI credit allowance attached to a Workspace's Plan, as described in the Billing, Credits and Refund Policy.
- Plan means the one-time purchase, subscription or other offering the Customer selects, as described in the Service at the time of purchase.
- Order means the Customer's online sign-up, Plan selection or checkout, or any other written order or agreement under which the Customer accesses the Service.
- Sub-processor means a third party engaged by Nomisma to process Customer Content, as listed on the Sub-processors page.
3. The Service
3.1 What the Service does. Smartsteps helps a Customer understand how its published policies and its website measure against legal obligations in the markets it selects. Subject to the Agreement, the Service:
- collects a business profile describing the Customer (for example what it sells, its revenue and headcount bands, visitor and user counts, the categories of data it collects, whether it serves minors, its marketing channels, hosting regions, use of AI and use of subscriptions) and the countries and states the Customer selects;
- accepts policy documents (such as a privacy policy or terms of service) that the Customer uploads or links to, in PDF, DOCX, HTML or plain-text form, and reads uploaded files using optical character recognition where needed;
- visits each Customer Website with an automated headless browser that identifies itself with the user agent "SmartstepsBot/0.1 (+https://smartsteps.ai/bot)", and records what the site does: the pages visited, the cookies set, the third-party requests made, the behaviour of any consent banner, the handling of the Global Privacy Control signal, the structure of forms (field names and types only), legal links, imprint details, accessibility check results and screenshots;
- uses the AI Features, together with fixed applicability rules, to evaluate the Customer's documents and crawl evidence against each relevant legal obligation; and
- produces Reports, including a green, amber or red standing for each jurisdiction, findings that cite the law concerned, and suggested fixes.
3.2 Monitoring. On paid Plans that include it, the Service re-checks a Workspace each month and monitors changes in the laws it covers, and may re-evaluate the Workspace when a covered law changes.
3.3 How the crawler behaves. The crawler never submits forms and does not record values typed into forms. Loading a Customer Website causes the crawler's browser to load the resources that site embeds, including third-party resources, in the same way an ordinary visitor's browser would, and to interact with consent banners in order to observe their behaviour. Crawl visits may therefore appear in the Customer's own server logs, analytics and consent-management records. The Customer is responsible for any effect of those visits on its own systems and on its arrangements with its own vendors.
3.4 Coverage. The Service covers the jurisdictions and legal obligations described in the Service from time to time, and not others. Coverage of a jurisdiction does not mean that every law, regulation, guidance document or court decision of that jurisdiction is covered. See the Legal Disclaimer.
3.5 Changes to the Service. Nomisma may improve, update, add or remove features. Where a change would materially reduce the core functionality of a paid Plan during its current term, Nomisma will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice.
3.6 Email. The Service sends transactional email only, from updates@smartsteps.ai, for purposes such as email verification, sign-in links, notice that a Report is ready, monthly standing updates and replies to support tickets. Nomisma does not send marketing email without consent.
3.7 Support. Users may open support tickets from Help within the Service (smartsteps.ai/app, then Help) or by writing to info@nomisma.ai. Tickets may also reach Nomisma through other platforms integrated with its support system. To resolve a ticket, Nomisma's support staff, who may include contractors bound by confidentiality obligations, may view the Customer Content in the Workspace that is needed to resolve it. Staff access is role-based, protected by two-factor authentication and recorded in an audit log.
4. Accounts and Users
4.1 Registration. To use the Service, a User must create an account with their name, email address and a password, and verify their email address. Users may also sign in with a single-use sign-in link sent by email. The Customer and its Users must provide accurate information and keep it current.
4.2 Customer responsibilities. The Customer is responsible for:
- the acts and omissions of its Users and for their compliance with the Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy;
- deciding who has access to its Workspace and with what permissions;
- keeping credentials confidential and notifying Nomisma promptly at info@nomisma.ai of any suspected unauthorised access; and
- the accuracy and completeness of its business profile and market selections. The applicability of laws, and therefore the content of Reports, depends on that information. Reports based on inaccurate or incomplete information may be wrong.
4.3 Eligibility. Users must be at least 18 years old. The Service is not directed at anyone under 18. Section 19 (Sanctions and Export Controls) sets out further eligibility restrictions.
5. Customer Content and Ownership
5.1 Ownership. As between the parties, the Customer retains all right, title and interest in its Customer Content. Nomisma acquires no ownership of it. Nomisma does not sell Customer Content and does not use it to build advertising profiles.
5.2 Use by Nomisma. Nomisma processes Customer Content to provide, maintain, secure and support the Service for the Customer, on the Customer's instructions as expressed in the Agreement and through the Customer's use and configuration of the Service, and as required by law.
5.3 No training. Nomisma does not use Customer Content to train, retrain or fine-tune artificial intelligence models. See Section 7.
5.4 Responsibility for Customer Content. The Customer is solely responsible for its Customer Content and for having all rights, permissions and, where required, consents and notices needed to submit it to the Service and to have it processed as described in the Agreement.
5.5 Retention and deletion. Customer Content is retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy and, where it applies, the Data Processing Addendum.
6. Licence to Process Customer Content
6.1 The Customer grants Nomisma a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, crawl, parse, display and otherwise process Customer Content, including by sending it to the AI Features and to Sub-processors, solely to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, secure and support the Service for the Customer.
6.2 The Customer authorises Nomisma, and the crawler operated on Nomisma's behalf, to access, load and record each Customer Website and each linked document as described in Section 3.
6.3 This licence ends when the relevant Customer Content is deleted, subject to the retention described in Section 5.5 and to any retention required by law. Nomisma claims no other rights in Customer Content.
7. AI Features and Their Limitations
7.1 How AI is used. The AI Features send policy text and crawl evidence to Anthropic's Claude models through Amazon Bedrock, a service of Amazon Web Services, to evaluate each relevant legal obligation, to run a second-opinion review of results, to label clauses and to write summaries. Nomisma may alternatively use Anthropic's own API as a fallback provider, as described on the Sub-processors page.
7.2 No training. Amazon Bedrock does not use customer inputs or outputs to train the underlying models. Nomisma does not use Customer Content to train any model.
7.3 Limitations. The Customer acknowledges that AI output is generated by probabilistic models and:
- may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent or out of date, and may misstate or misapply a law, quote or describe a document incorrectly, or reach a conclusion that a qualified lawyer would not;
- depends on the Customer Content supplied, on what the crawler was able to observe at the time of the crawl, and on the version of the law held in the Service at that time; and
- is not reviewed by a person unless the Customer's Order expressly includes human review.
7.4 Customer review. The Customer must review Reports, and in particular any suggested fix, with appropriately qualified counsel before relying on them or making changes to its policies, website or practices. The AI Transparency statement explains how verdicts are checked and how to report an error.
8. No Legal Advice and No Guarantee of Compliance
8.1 Smartsteps is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nomisma is not a law firm, does not practise law, and does not provide legal, regulatory or compliance advice. Use of the Service, and any communication with Nomisma or its staff, does not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship, and is not protected by legal professional privilege.
8.2 Reports are informational only. Reports, standing scores, findings, citations, summaries and suggested fixes are general information generated by software. They are not a legal opinion, are not tailored legal advice, and are not a substitute for advice from a lawyer qualified in each relevant jurisdiction.
8.3 No certification and no guarantee. Nomisma does not certify, warrant or guarantee that the Customer, its website, its documents or its practices comply with any law, regulation, standard or industry code. A green standing, a "met" finding, or the absence of a finding does not mean that the Customer is compliant or that no legal risk exists. Findings can be wrong.
8.4 Laws change. Laws, regulations, guidance and their interpretation change frequently and differ between jurisdictions. The Service may not reflect the most recent developments, may not cover all laws that apply to the Customer, and may present a reading of a law that a regulator or court would not adopt.
8.5 Customer responsibility. The Customer remains solely responsible for its own compliance with all laws that apply to it, for decisions it makes, and for any changes it makes to its policies, website or practices, whether or not those changes were suggested by the Service. The Legal Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.
9. Authorised Websites and Documents
9.1 Warranty. The Customer represents and warrants, each time it submits a website address or document to the Service, that:
- it owns or controls the Customer Website, or is authorised by the owner or operator of the Customer Website to have it crawled, recorded and analysed by an automated tool as described in Section 3;
- it owns, or is authorised to submit, each document it uploads or links to; and
- the crawling and analysis requested will not breach any agreement, terms of use or law binding on the Customer or applicable to the Customer Website.
9.2 Prohibition. The Customer must not submit, and must not cause the Service to crawl, any website or document it is not authorised to have scanned, including a competitor's website or any other third-party website. Crawling third-party websites without authorisation is a material breach of these Terms.
9.3 Nomisma's rights. Nomisma may decline to crawl, or stop crawling, any website, and may suspend a Workspace, where it reasonably believes that the Customer lacks authorisation, where the owner or operator of a website objects, or where crawling may cause harm or legal risk. Owners of websites visited by SmartstepsBot may contact info@nomisma.ai.
10. Data Protection
10.1 The Privacy Policy describes how Nomisma processes personal data. Nomisma acts as a controller for account, billing, support, security and website data, and as a processor (or service provider) for personal data contained in Customer Content, which it processes on the Customer's behalf.
10.2 Where the Customer's use of the Service involves personal data subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), the Data Processing Addendum applies and is incorporated into these Terms.
10.3 The Customer must not submit special categories of personal data, health information, payment card data or government identification numbers to the Service, other than to the limited extent that such information appears in a public policy document or on a public page of a Customer Website.
11. Acceptable Use
The Customer and its Users must use the Service in accordance with the Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Without limitation, the Customer must not crawl websites it is not authorised to scan, attempt to bypass Credit or usage limits, resell the Service without a written agreement with Nomisma without Nomisma's written agreement, or present a Report as a legal certification or as an endorsement by Smartsteps.
12. Intellectual Property and Reports
12.1 Nomisma's rights. Nomisma owns the Service, including its software, user interfaces, library of legal obligations, applicability rules, methodology, prompts, standard text and all related intellectual property. Except for the rights expressly granted in the Agreement, no rights are granted to the Customer.
12.2 Reports. Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with the Agreement, Nomisma grants the Customer a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use, copy and adapt Reports for its internal business purposes, to share them with its legal advisers, auditors, insurers, investors and regulators, and to incorporate suggested fix text into its own policies and website. The Customer must not publish a Report, or describe it publicly, in a way that suggests it is a legal opinion, a certification, or an endorsement by Nomisma or Smartsteps.
12.3 Marks. The Customer may not use the Smartsteps or Nomisma names, logos or any badge, seal or mark suggesting that its website or practices have been reviewed, approved or certified by Smartsteps, without Nomisma's prior written permission.
12.4 Feedback. If the Customer or a User gives Nomisma feedback or suggestions, Nomisma may use them without restriction or obligation.
13. Fees, Credits and Subscriptions
13.1 Fees, Plans, Credits, renewal, cancellation and refunds are governed by the Billing, Credits and Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
13.2 In summary: payments are processed by Stripe, Inc., and Nomisma never sees full card numbers; Plans may be one-time purchases or monthly or yearly subscriptions; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; each Workspace has a monthly Credit allowance, analyses stop when Credits run out, and Credits do not roll over and have no cash value; and fees are not refundable except as stated in that policy or required by law.
14. Confidentiality
14.1 Each party may receive confidential information of the other under the Agreement. Customer Content and Reports are the Customer's confidential information. Non-public information about the Service, including its pricing terms offered privately, methodology and security information, is Nomisma's confidential information.
14.2 The receiving party will use the disclosing party's confidential information only to perform under or exercise its rights under the Agreement, will protect it with at least reasonable care, and will not disclose it except to its personnel, contractors, Sub-processors and advisers who need to know it and are bound by obligations of confidentiality at least as protective as these.
14.3 These obligations do not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of the receiving party, was already known to it without restriction, is independently developed without use of the disclosing party's information, or is rightfully received from a third party without restriction. A party may disclose confidential information where required by law, giving reasonable prior notice where lawful.
15. Warranties and Disclaimers
15.1 Each party warrants that it has the authority to enter into the Agreement. The Customer gives the warranties in Section 9.1 and warrants that its Customer Content and its use of the Service comply with applicable law.
15.2 EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THE AGREEMENT, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
15.3 Without limiting Section 15.2, Nomisma does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; that the crawler will observe every page, cookie, request or behaviour of a Customer Website; that Reports will be accurate, complete or current; that the Service covers every law that applies to the Customer; or that use of the Service or of any suggested fix will achieve compliance with any law or avoid any claim, fine or penalty.
16. Limitation of Liability
16.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUES, GOODWILL OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE AGREEMENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
16.2 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NOMISMA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY FINE, PENALTY, REGULATORY SANCTION, SETTLEMENT, DAMAGES OR COSTS ARISING FROM THE CUSTOMER'S COMPLIANCE OR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ANY LAW, OR FROM THE CUSTOMER'S RELIANCE ON A REPORT, WHETHER OR NOT THE MATTER WAS IDENTIFIED, MISSED OR MISDESCRIBED IN A REPORT.
16.3 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EACH PARTY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE AGREEMENT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD 100).
16.4 The limitations in Sections 16.1 and 16.3 do not apply to a party's liability for its own gross negligence, wilful misconduct or fraud, or to amounts owed by the Customer for the Service, in each case to the extent that such liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
17. Indemnification
17.1 By the Customer. The Customer will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Nomisma and its members, managers, employees and contractors against any third-party claim, and any resulting losses, damages, fines, costs and reasonable legal fees, arising from or relating to:
- the crawling, recording or analysis of any website, or the processing of any document, that the Customer submitted without the authorisation required by Section 9, including claims by the owner or operator of a website under computer-misuse, trespass, contract or intellectual-property law;
- Customer Content, including any claim that it infringes a third party's rights or was submitted in breach of data-protection law;
- the Customer's use of the Service in breach of the Agreement or the Acceptable Use Policy;
- the Customer's publication or use of a Report, or its implementation of a suggested fix; or
- the Customer's violation of applicable law, including any law the Service was used to assess.
17.2 By Nomisma. Nomisma will defend and indemnify the Customer against any third-party claim alleging that the Service, as provided by Nomisma and used in accordance with the Agreement, infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, and will pay damages finally awarded or agreed in a settlement approved by Nomisma. This obligation does not apply to claims arising from Customer Content, from the Customer's modifications, or from use of the Service in combination with items not provided by Nomisma where the claim would have been avoided without that combination.
17.3 Procedure. The indemnified party must give the indemnifying party prompt written notice of the claim, allow it sole control of the defence and settlement (provided that no settlement may impose an admission or obligation on the indemnified party without its consent), and give reasonable cooperation at the indemnifying party's expense.
18. Term, Suspension and Termination
18.1 Term. The Agreement starts when the Customer first accepts these Terms or uses the Service and continues until the Customer's account is deleted or the Agreement is terminated under this Section. Each subscription runs for its billing period and renews as described in the Billing, Credits and Refund Policy.
18.2 Suspension. Nomisma may suspend the Service, a Workspace or a User's access, in whole or in part, where reasonably necessary to address a breach of the Agreement, a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, non-payment, a crawl that appears unauthorised, or a security, legal or sanctions risk. Where practicable, Nomisma will give notice and an opportunity to cure; where the risk is urgent, it may act first and give notice afterwards.
18.3 Termination by the Customer. The Customer may stop using the Service at any time, cancel a subscription in the billing portal, and delete its account in Settings (Delete my account).
18.4 Termination for breach. Either party may terminate the Agreement by written notice if the other party materially breaches it and fails to cure the breach within thirty (30) days after notice. Nomisma may terminate immediately on notice for a breach of Section 9, Section 19 or the Acceptable Use Policy that it reasonably considers serious or repeated.
18.5 Effect. On termination, the Customer's right to use the Service ends, and Customer Content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to retention required by law. The Customer should download or print any Reports it wishes to keep before deleting its account. Fees are refundable only as stated in the Billing, Credits and Refund Policy.
18.6 Survival. Sections 5, 8, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18.5, 18.6, 20 and 21, and any other provision that by its nature should survive, survive termination.
19. Sanctions and Export Controls
19.1 The Service is not offered to persons or entities located in, organised under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia or Belarus, or the Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk regions, or to any person or entity identified on, or owned or controlled by a party identified on, a sanctions or restricted-party list maintained by the United States (including the Office of Foreign Assets Control's Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List), the United Nations, the European Union or the United Kingdom. Sign-up from those countries and regions is blocked.
19.2 The Customer represents and warrants that neither it nor any User is such a person or entity, and that it will not access or use the Service, or permit access or use, in violation of United States export-control or economic-sanctions law or any other applicable sanctions law.
19.3 Nomisma may suspend or terminate access immediately, without liability, where it reasonably believes that continued provision of the Service would breach sanctions or export-control law.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Wyoming, except that either party may seek injunctive relief to protect its intellectual property or confidential information in any court of competent jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
21. General Provisions
21.1 Entire agreement and precedence. The Agreement is the entire agreement between the parties about its subject matter and supersedes any prior understanding. If there is a conflict, the following order applies: (a) a signed Order, for the matters it expressly addresses; (b) the Data Processing Addendum, for the processing of personal data; (c) these Terms; (d) the other incorporated documents.
21.2 Assignment. The Customer may not assign or transfer the Agreement without Nomisma's prior written consent. Nomisma may assign the Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of all or substantially all of the assets of the Smartsteps business, on notice to the Customer.
21.3 Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, other than payment obligations.
21.4 Independent parties. The parties are independent contractors. Nothing in the Agreement creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, fiduciary or employment relationship.
21.5 No third-party beneficiaries. The Agreement confers no rights on any third party.
21.6 Severability and waiver. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
22. Changes, Notices and Contact
22.1 Changes to these Terms. Nomisma may update these Terms from time to time. For a material change, Nomisma will take reasonable steps to notify the Customer in advance, for example by email to its Users or by notice in the Service. Changes take effect on the date stated. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The current version is the version published on this page.
22.2 Notices. Nomisma may give notices to the Customer by email to the address associated with its account or through the Service. The Customer may give notice to Nomisma by email to info@nomisma.ai or by post to Nomisma LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States.
22.3 Contact. Questions about these Terms may be sent to info@nomisma.ai or raised through Help in the Service. Related documents: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, AI Transparency, Legal Disclaimer, Billing, Credits and Refund Policy, Sub-processors, Data Processing Addendum, Security Overview and Vulnerability Disclosure and Accessibility Statement.
23. Hosted Policies
23.1 What the feature does. The Service can generate privacy, cookie and terms documents for the Customer ("Hosted Policies") from the information the Customer provides and the law records held in the Service, and can publish a version the Customer approves at a public web address on smartsteps.ai.
23.2 Ownership and licence. As between the parties, the Customer owns its Hosted Policies, and they are Customer Content. The Customer grants Nomisma a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and publicly display each published version at its public address, and to keep earlier published versions available there, for as long as the Workspace exists.
23.3 Customer responsibility. The Customer is responsible for reviewing every Hosted Policy, for confirming that the facts in it are correct and complete before publishing it, and for keeping those facts up to date. Nomisma publishes a version only after the Customer confirms it, or, where the Customer has turned on automatic publishing of law updates, under the conditions shown in the Service.
23.4 Not legal advice. Hosted Policies are generated from the Customer's information and the law records in the Service by AI Features. They are not legal advice, are not reviewed by a lawyer, and may need changes the Service cannot detect, including because of facts the Customer has not provided or law the Service does not hold. Section 8 applies to Hosted Policies as it does to Reports.
23.5 Removal. Nomisma may remove a hosted document from public view if it reasonably believes the document violates the Acceptable Use Policy, and on closure of the Customer's account.
23.6 Deletion. Hosted Policies and all their versions are deleted with the Workspace, and the public address stops serving them.
